The next class, write a memoir, is taking shape. After copious scribbles and taking notes, it’s time to organise things in Scrivener. Scrivener is my go to app for any writing that needs more than a passing of structure, or after the longhand stage is over. Its corkboard outlining feature is wonderful. Of course, I spend a while beforehand in the journals. Any excuse to spend time in the journals.
How do I write a memoir?
This is just behind the ‘how do I write a novel?’ question, when it comes to things people ask me about writing. There is something about recording who we are and what we have done. It’s the next step from status updates and selfies. It might be something personal or something that we want to share. This class will help you do just that.
It will also help if you want to write a memoir, or biography, of someone else. A relative, an ancestor or someone you admire (or despise) make ideal subjects.
It won’t be long till this class is added, so keep up to date with all that is happening on A Ticket To Write.
